Aircon drainage pipe repair in Singapore: what's involved and what it costs

1. Inspect the drain pan, hose connection and the discharge outlet
2. Vacuum or nitrogen-flush the line from the discharge end to clear the blockage
3. Wash the drain pan and remove biological growth at the source
4. Treat the line to slow re-growth
5. Water-test the full path and confirm free flow at the outlet
6. Check the pipe gradient and re-support any sagging sections

Cleaning fixes blockages. Replacement is needed when the pipe is cracked, brittle with age, has a reverse gradient built into the run, or is undersized for the number of units feeding it.

In older HDB flats, drain lines concealed in casing sometimes sag between supports — clearing that line only buys a few months, so we re-run it properly.

Condensate must discharge to an approved point, never onto a neighbour's ledge or a common corridor. In condos, management may require work notification and specific working hours.
